Landscape Pest Control Garden Pest Control

We love our gardens in Southern California and nothing upsets us more than seeing our paradise invaded by a bunch of pests:

Hard pruning of roses

Roses require special care; we treat for fungus, mildew, aphids, and rose slugs.

Note: Even the best-kept landscapes and gardens are constantly threatened by unwanted weeds, insects and plant diseases.

A Word About Rabbits

Desert Cottontail Rabbit

California Desert Cottontail (Sylvilagus audubonii) – Rabbits are protected under California law.

California environmental protection laws prohibit pest control companies from exterminating rabbits.

They are a critical part of the food chain and are therefore under special protections. So what can we do about rabbits?

We do offer repellents and we have some recommendations.

Trees touching a home allows easy access for rats.

Trees touching a home allows easy access for not only rats but insects as well.

We have customized solutions for your garden pest control. Our homeowners want the pests to go away without harming their children, pets or garden crops. Rather than avoiding the difficult jobs, we work with homeowners that have special needs or chemically sensitive environments.

Chlorotic (yellowing) foliage; poor fruit production, cankers on trunk and branches; leaf blotching, wilting, rapid death of some new growth; often death of entire tree eventually.

Landscape and Garden Health

Our approach landscape pest control first examining every non-pesticidal way to manage outdoor pests.

Then we review our best choices from traditional and the newest pesticide products on the market – including many organic solutions, using current and comprehensive industry and environmental research findings.

The choice of using a pesticide will be based on a review of all other available options and a determination that these options are not acceptable or are not feasible.

OUR APPROACH – THE LEAST AMOUNT OF CHEMICAL EXPOSURE POSSIBLE TO GET THE JOB DONE RIGHT

Flea Life Cycle

Flea Life Cycle

FLEAS:

We offer a two stage approach to flea control, after consultation with the homeowner regarding veterinary care and homeowner techniques for assisting in the elimination of a flea infestation.

STEP ONE: Initial interior and exterior treatment for nymph and adult fleas. Added application of an “insect growth regulator” to sterilize survivors.

STEP TWO: A second application after 2-4 weeks, to verify that any secondary hatching of fleas is re-mediated and to review homeowner acceptance of the treatment regimen, such as:

Snails are responsible for much of the leaf damage to your plants!

  • Frequent vacuuming and vacuum bag removal.
  • Quarantine of pet from other sources of infestation.
  • Placement of pet of flea collar or similar product.
  • Dry-cleaning of contaminated materials.
  • Clearance of any clutter, to allow for proper non-chemical and chemical treatment.
