There are two general philosophies behind the sales and service strategies of pest control companies that you should understand when you purchase a service for ants or other “GP” (general pests). Probably the pest control industry is split down the middle, but I don’t know that any figures exist on this point. One philosophy is that sellers sell and service people service.

In a company where sellers sell, you will be introduced to your pest control company by a sales oriented individual who may never meet you. He or she will explain everything. Then it will be up to the service staff to fulfill the agreement. Perhaps this is the best approach for both sides if you have an honest, hard working sales person followed by an honest hard working service person dedicated solely to making you happy each time he or she services your home for ants and other common pests.
