Mission Trails has over 6000 acres of natural habitat dedicated to the preservation of Southern California’s wildlife and native plants with over 40 miles of recreation: hiking, biking, rock climbing, equestrian trails, two lakes, camping (camping suspended due to budgetary constraints), and a 3 mile scenic stretch of the San Diego River. Visitors can enjoy free guided nature walks led by trained volunteer guides. Educational classes are taught in the Visitor Center on birding basics and nature adventures for children. There are also free concerts and star-gazing for visitors to enjoy.

This coming spring 2012, you will see Hearts Pest Management performing pest control in the towns of El Cajon, La Mesa, Chula Vista and the portion of Chula Vista affectionately known as East Lakes.
Hearts Pest Management had been restricted from entering these territories for three years due to a route purchase agreement in early 2009 that ends February 28, 2012. Before this date we will be able to provide commercial services, but we will expand into residential services in these communities effective March 1, 2012.

Pest Control Customer in Love
Love never ceases to amaze. It will drive a person to acts of courage, decency and compassion, nurturing and sacrifice impossible for those who do not get struck by Cupid’s arrow.
In my business I come across many personal struggles and tribulations. As a pest control company, our personnel meet the public at a time when they feel personally invaded, even violated. I’m not exaggerating. You need to hear the fear and frustrating, the anxiety and despiration of those suffering from pests that drive them wild.

Lessons from the Hospitality Industry for Pest Control
Chocolates Under the Pillow? “Chocolates Under the Pillow Aren’t Enough” is the title of a book I discovered by Jonathan Tisch, the CEO of Loews Hotels. I loved what Jonathan Tisch had to say. His words are very similar to those of Howard Schultz, CEO of Starbucks, someone I admire greatly. I would hope that someday, people would think of me as the person, and of Hearts Pest Management as the company, that brought that type of total quality mentality to the pest control industry. I know we are not yet there, but we are trying with all our heart.

The EPA has announced new rules for the sale and use of rodenticide. The final risk mitigation decision for ten rodenticides has been in the works for a few years now. It represents the work of many studies on the use and abuse of rodenticides.
